Viktor&Rolf is to bring, however not themselves but their most eccentric creations to National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, Australia. ‘They sure do fit the bill’, their creations often touted as “Wearable Art” celebrates New Age Fashion in every thread.

The exhibition “Viktor&Rolf: Fashion Artists” opens on October 21, 2016 and is curated by Thierry Maxime-Loriot, famous for his previous works “The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk” and “A Different History of Fashion” – Peter Lindbergh.

Unlike Loriots previous retrospective works for Gaultier and Lindbergh, this exhibition will be a contemporary installation that will feature the Dutch Duos latest unconventional sculpted couture pieces solely designed for the exhibit.

“We are extremely excited to be working in collaboration with the National Gallery of Victoria on this exhibition and highlighting the craftsmanship involved in creating our wearable art. It is an honor for us to bring our designs to the Southern Hemisphere” said Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren.

The exhibition will go on till end of February 2017. For more details and updates visit Viktor&Rolf.
