Through the eyes of JW Anderson

0

The British creator has just announced an exhibition of art in itself which aims to merge their greatest inspirations of recent years in one space.

JW Anderson is one of those eternally enigmatic creators. His eponymous company has become since its launch in 2008 in a whole cult temple (few brands maintain such a high level of creativity and inspiration season after season), and has managed to make Loewe (firm of which he is creative director from 2013), a modern and daring home, despite its strong traditional character.

However, the undoubted talent of the young Briton not only is reflected in their collections. In addition, the firm Anderson can be discovered in numerous books that launched in collaboration with leading personalities from the creative industry. In them, we were able to witness how important aesthetics and visually appealing to the designer, so his next step was – almost – as predictable as exciting: an art exhibition.

“Disobedient Bodies: JWAnderson ” is a project created by the designer in which he intends to engage in a conversation about gender barriers, the meaning of the image and identity of people. “It is a strange and exciting opportunity for me to merge some of the artwork and fashion related that have inspired me personally and see what happens when all these inspirations share the same space , “said Anderson, adding later:” I want this exhibition reflects the speed and unexpected encounters that characterize the way we consume today images and create a space in which to explore ideas related to gender and identity have formed an intrinsic part of my creative activity. ”

The exhibition will take place in the avant – garde gallery Hepworth Wakefield in the UK. A gallery whose minimalist aesthetic break completely with the explosion of color that dwell within a few months. But that’s JW Anderson: surprising, daring and rebellious by nature.
