Tell us about your album Mundieo?

Mundieo is my journey of self-belief. It’s the project that allowed me to start believing in myself as an artist with messages that resonated the most at the time of its birth. A goal I had with this project was creating individual experiences throughout my sound, so the songs don’t all sound alike.

What are the inspirations and messages behind the songs on the new album?

Hypothermia was my first trance-written song. The story played out in my mind, later relaying the message of what it wanted me to say. I titled the song Hypothermia out of respect to the vision I had. Mundieo is a song that talks about our relationship to our dear Mother Earth and how we need to be there for her which is what the words “mundieo amieo” mean, goddess earth. The track tells her I’m here; I love you, and I’m acting on the change. Around the World is a song for younger generations, giving them a voice and standing up together for a livable future. They Live in and Around Us talks about the magic inside of everything around and within ourselves, and lastly, Fire is a song about forbidden love. I always imagined it being an angel and demon falling in love, representing the duality and temptation of engaging with things we know will hurt us in the end.

What is your creative process like?

Each song has its own style of coming through for me but for this album I feel like they all just manifested themselves through me  I always write the music first and the melody later tells me what it wants to say.

Why did you become Vegan? Does that impact your music writing?

Absolutely, I was vegetarian for four years and I started having some health issues which I later realized were caused by the dairy, sugar, and certain types of oil I still had in my diet, so I just had to adjust and completely reset my body. I learned about the environmental impact on the Amazon and how so many species are in danger because of animal agriculture. I also rewatched Farm to Fridge, and that really reset my strength to go vegan! My consciousness has definitely cleared up immensely after not having any frequencies of torture and suffering in my system and I feel like it will be reflected more and more in my music as time goes on  It’s given me completely newfound creativity.

What is the most pressing environmental issue currently? How does the environment impact your new record?

There are many pressing environmental issues, but the top ones in my life that I’m addressing and acting on are regarding the fast fashion industry and the animal agriculture industry, as well as trying to be as close to zero waste as I can be. There also the issues of oil drilling like the Willow Project Biden just passed despite millions signing petitions against it. Alongside animal agriculture on land, overfishing in the world is one of the worst things happening to our planet right now, and it definitely impacts my record because this is what everything ties into at the end of the day. The animals are sacred and have magic of their own, along with the land, the trees, the winged brothers here sharing this space, which I express in They Live in and Around Us and Mundieo. We are not separate from the orangutans being killed for palm oil, or any other being that we contribute harsher realities to. All of this ties into the future of our next generations. It can be the world they’ll have to pick up after OR be able to thrive in if we fix it and hear their pleas, which is the message in Around the World. All of it reflects us and that’s why my first song Hypothermia encourages people to look within and see the truth more clearly/freely.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I would like to consider what I make an experience outside of a genre so I would say experiential music (:

What made you decide to pursue a career in entertainment

Wanting to do good in the world starting with creating positive messages for the younger generations, and wanting to be a good example for others in general

What has been the best performance of your career so far?

One of my favorite performances was performing for my EP release event this year in January.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

I would love to collaborate with Lady Gaga, Porangui, Billie Eilish, and Aurora!

If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?

I would like to see more desire for quality and uplifting messages, things that bring humanity closer together through sound. I’d also like more of uplifting new, talented artists rather than having them have to climb their way up before anyone considers working with you.
